The Agricultural University of Iceland has approximately 500 students and 100 staff on its two campuses. The main campus is located in Hvanneyri, approximately an hour's drive north of Reykjavík. The second and smaller campus is in Keldnaholt, on the northern edge of the capital city.
IROICA Staff Training takes place in Hvanneyri in the main building called Ásgarður. The relative remoteness of the settlement of Hvanneyri and the size of the university are the limiting factors for the 29th IROICA Staff Training edition. Therefore, we can accept only as many as many we can accommodate on campus and fit into our largest lecture hall, the Ársalur.
Reykjavík University is the only private higher education institution in Iceland. It is located in the heart of Iceland’s capital, offering a strong focus on technology, business, law, and interdisciplinary research. With approximately 4,000 students, RU provides a modern, international learning environment supported by close ties to industry.
The university’s scenic campus sits by Öskjuhlíð Hill in Reykjavík and features flexible study spaces and sustainable design, creating an inspiring setting for study, research, and collaboration.
