Accommodation
We have prebooked accommodation at both locations, where the IROICA Staff Training will take place in Iceland. The first day and a half will be hosted by Reykjavík University. From Tuesday afternoon to Friday, the event is hosted at the main campus of the Agricultural University of Iceland in Hvanneyri (north of Reykjavík).
All rooms are booked via a separate registration form once your registration for the event is confirmed.
The Agricultural University of Iceland issues a separate invoice for accommodation and a separate invoice for the staff training registration fee.
Reykjavík
As it is high season in Iceland in June, we have prebooked rooms in the hotels listed below. You will indicate what type of room (single/double) you prefer in the accommodation registration form, which will be shared with confirmed participants.
Don´t contact hotels individually; all accommodation arrangements will be handled by the event organisers as agreed with hotels.
There is a unified rate per night per room for all prebooked hotels in Reykjavík. This rate already includes a discount from standard rates and breakfast:
- single room: 245 EUR
- double room: 274 EUR
City tax, 800 ISK per night, excluded. To be paid at the hotel reception upon check-in.
Hotels in Reykjavík are prebooked from Sunday, June 14th, until Tuesday, June 16th. Other days are strictly a matter of availability and rates, and rooms are not guaranteed.

Hvanneyri
The AUI campus in Hvanneyri is located in a truly rural setting. The settlement of Hvanneyri has about 315 inhabitants, and there is no shop or restaurant. The staff training participants will be accommodated in student apartments. Predominantly, each student apartment has two or three bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
Rate per night, including breakfast:
- single room in a shared apartment: 85 EUR
- double room in a shared apartment: 140 EUR
